Nour is a Toronto-based comedian who has been featured locally on the CBC News, Exclaim Magazine and was picked as one of four comedians to watch in 2016 by the Toronto Star. She is a writing contributor to CBC Comedy, and is a writer for the political satire show The Beaverton on the Comedy Network. She was invited to perform at the prestigious Just for Laughs festival in Montreal in 2017, and you can catch her all over Toronto and Montreal hosting The So Fresh’ n’ So Clean Comedy Show as well as the Half and Half Show.
Nour made her national television debut at the CBC’s Winnipeg Comedy Festival in July of 2017, and her jokes have been played on CBC Radio’s Laugh Out Loud and Sirius XM Canada Laughs. She has appeared on the CBC hit radio show the Debaters as well as Night Train with Wyatt Cenac in New York City.
She has opened for Josh Gondelman, Jackie Kashian, Wendy Liebman, Jermaine Fowler, Steve Patterson, DeAnne Smith, David Pryde, K. Trevor Wilson among others. Nour has been invited to perform at numerous festivals across North America, including Calgary’s Sled Island, Crom Comedy Festival, Memphis Comedy Festival, Boston Women in Comedy Festival, SheDot Comedy Festival, the New York Arab American Comedy Festival, and the Cleveland Comedy Festival.
In the summer of 2014, Nour studied Sketch and Joke Writing with the UCB and PIT theaters in New York City. Later that year she was a ‘Young Gun of Comedy’, an annual feature by the Comedy Nest club in Montreal showcasing the next generation of Comedians.
